Bloodborne continues to be mocked as fans roast an absolutely baffling return for the series.
When Bloodborne was released in 2015 on the PlayStation 4 (yes, it’s really been that long), it had taken the video game industry by storm. There was just something extra special about when you, as the Hunter, first set your eyes upon the nightmarish delights of Yarnham.
I hand on heart admit that while appreciating the talents of FromSoftware, I’d never called myself much of a fan, at least at the time. But the moment I was first slain by the corrupted residents of that gothic city, Bloodborne had consumed my life for months on end.
Despite banging out other hits such as Dark Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring, many consider Bloodborne to be the best game FromSoftware has ever created. As reflected by its score of 92 on Metacritic, it earned the “Must-Play” accolade.

Understandably, after waiting a decade at this point, Bloodborne fans would love a remaster, better still, a full remake from the ground up. Heck, we’d be happy with a PS5 update to give it a much-needed 60 frames per second boost.
Alas, to much disappointment, there seems to be no indication that Bloodborne will be making a return anytime soon on modern consoles. However, at least it’s returning in a free-to-play hero shooter on mobile! How awesome is that?
Obviously, I’m totally sarcastic with my excitement for Bloodborne to return in a mobile game. I can sense a certain member of the GAMINGbible team flipping his desk in rage as I type this story.
So, what is this almighty Bloodborne return, I hear you ask, as you cringe in anticipation? Bloodborne returns in the MOBA hero shooter, Brawl Stars, on Android and iOS.

“Tonight, Plague Doctor Crow joins the hunt…,” tweets the official Brawl Stars Twitter account, showing a mock-up image of Yarham that is no doubt triggering Bloodborne fans everywhere.
The main focus of the image, Doctor Crow, is likely a reference to the NPC character, Eileen the Crow, who loves to hunt Hunters. There also appears to be a female character on the right that is wearing clothes similar to The Doll, and, to the left on a rooftop, a Hunter imposter can be seen.

“I'm absolutely baffled, knowing this, most people are gonna support this game much more heavily out of nowhere,” laughed The Anime G.
“We got Bloodborne on Brawl Stars before the Bloodborne remake,” declared Derpy_burger.
To be fair, there are a lot of positive comments in the thread, which makes sense, because with an estimated player base in the millions, Brawl Stars is a popular mobile game. So, a lot of my frustration is projection, but I’m sure you understand.
Will we ever get a Bloodborne remaster or remake? I wouldn't hold your breath. Still, at least it’s an amazing game to experience on PlayStation 4.
