Bloodborne PS5 dreams dead, but at least we have a PC port finally

I’m sorry to say it my friends, but we’re going to have to keep on inhaling that hopium.

As much as it pains me to admit it, I just don’t think we’re going to see Bloodbourne surface on the PlayStation 5.

It’s an incredible game, there’s no denying that, but it’s not exactly PlayStation’s best seller so while I’d love to see a revised version sitting up there alongside the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, neither am I wholly surprised that that isn’t happening.

I’m imagining that we might benefit from some kind of upscaling on the PS5 Pro, thanks to the newly implemented PSSR feature.

Of course, that isn’t going to change the framerate though, nor do many of us plan on getting a PS5 Pro.

What we can all rejoice about though is the fact that we are finally getting a Bloodborne PC port, albeit one completely made by the game’s talented fan base.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is PlayStation’s latest remaster project, with the game set to launch on 31 October.

As reported by PC Guide, the launch of shadPS4 v0.3.0 has led to somewhat of a breakthrough when it comes to emulating PlayStation 4 games on PC.

This means that a selection of PS4 titles are now available, although Twitter user Pirat_Nation warns that this is only “to some degree” having played around with some of the emulated titles.

With shadPS4 v0.3.0, emulated PS4 games now benefit from cheat support, DLC support, trophy support, additional controller support (including the DualSense), plus additional translated languages support.

Bloodborne isn’t the only game that’s playable. Red Dead Redemption and Persona 4 were two of the other listed titles.

The shadPS4 emulator is still in development so there’s still a way to go before Bloodborne runs on PC the way we always dreamed it would.

But, that being said, this is an enormous leap forward and it’s great that, should we feel up to the challenge, PC users can somewhat now enter the incredible city of Yharnam.

It goes without saying that we’ll be keeping an eye on additional developments.
