PlayStation Plus has quietly gained yet another free offering on its premium tier.
It’s set to be a busy couple of days for PlayStation Plus.
Tomorrow, on 29 April, May’s essential tier line-up will be unveiled with those titles then becoming available to play the following week on Tuesday 5 May.
It’s incredibly likely though, that ahead of tomorrow’s reveal, the line-up will partially leak online as per usual.

Amid all of this, though, the premium tier has added a new Game Trial - and it pertains to what was a highly anticipated 2025 action RPG.
The rather wordy Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is now available to sample.
Game Trials are a premium-tier exclusive benefit. They’re essentially glorified demos.
Typically, your average demo might grant you 20 to 30 minutes worth of free access to a title; Game Trials are more generous, with this example offering two-hours.
That’s plenty of time to decide whether Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is for you.
Despite the fact that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was a highly anticipated release, it didn’t exactly dazzle upon lauch, acquiring rather mixed reviews.

On aggregate website Metacritic, the game sits at a score of 62 - and it’s not as if it fared much better with players.
It holds a measly User Score of 4.8. Yikes.
Wccftech described the game as “mediocre at best”, while GAMINGbible’s own Olly Smith wrote, “The RPG features have been drained away, leaving behind a husk of an action-adventure title that sometimes passes as interesting.”
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 isn’t worth playing.
Many reviews scored the game as highly as eight out of 10. It’s all down to personal preference, plus developer The Chinese Room has issued several patches since the game’s launch in October.
If you have been on the fence about whether to pick Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 up, this Game Trial offers the perfect opportunity.
For those with a subscription to PlayStation Plus’ premium tier, it won’t cost you a penny - and two hours is more than enough time to judge whether you’re vibing with the game or not.
As with all Game Trials on PlayStation Plus, if you do choose to purchase Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 in full, all progress will carry over.
The full release will set you back £49.99 / $59.99, correct at the time of writing. Pricing will vary regionally.
It is perhaps no surprise that due to the game’s troubled release, PlayStation Plus users aren’t sure how to feel about this latest offering.
“Huh, I'm gonna try it out, I guess,” remarked user Elly_White.
“Pass,” added Tears_Of_A_Clown_88.
“Yessss, I actually really want to try this,” commented BasisOk4268, while nxj102375 said, “Free is free, but I wouldn’t bother. I really wanted to like it but just couldn’t finish it.”
Join us tomorrow to find out which games will be landing on the essential tier in May.
