When the critically-acclaimed RPG series The Witcher is brought up in conversation, it’s likely that The Witcher 3 will be the first thing to pop into your mind. After all, it’s the best of the trilogy and often considered one of the greatest games ever made.

Take a look at The Witcher 3 below.

However, while Witcher 3 is fantastic, and responsible for the majority of the fanbase due to the enormous hype surrounding its release the other two games deserve a bit of love too.

This is especially true of the first game, which was released exclusively for PC in 2007 and has never seen a re-release on Xbox and PlayStation platforms.

It plays very differently compared to the sequels, focusing more on the combat and linear levels rather than an open world to explore and survive in, though that doesn’t mean it isn’t worthy of some credit every now and then.

Some fans certainly think so, as one has posted a concept video of what the first Witcher game could look like if it was remade in Unreal Engine 5 and it looks exceptional.

The concept was shared and created by YouTuber TeaserPlay and follows Geralt wandering through various remade areas from the original game, before facing off in a, slightly stiff, confrontation with a monster towards the end of the video.

Graphically it’s incredibly impressive, and exactly how an official remake from CD Projekt RED could look if one was approved by the publisher.

A remake is officially thought to be in the works but CDPR developers are currently hard at work on The Witcher 4, as well as a sequel to the Cyberpunk 2077, both of which will reportedly use Unreal Engine 5.
