The Day Before creators have started work on a new game, uh-oh

The Day Before’s creators are reportedly making another game. You’d think they’d have learnt their lesson by this point, no?

In case you missed it, The Day Before was probably the worst game to release in 2023, if you can even call it a game to begin with. Originally, it was pitched as an open-world survival game but looked far too good to be true. Many were sceptical about whether it was a legitimate project or not, but eventually saw the lie for themselves when it launched on Steam.

See The Day Before for yourself below.

Players were met with a dull, lifeless shooter with hardly any enemies, characters, or things to do. It became a bit of a laughing stock to be honest, though the situation quickly grew serious as thousands of refund requests were submitted in fear of the developers taking the money and running off.

Luckily, everybody who bought the game via Steam got a refund, and the developer announced it would be ceasing all operations following the financial disaster.

Now though, the game’s creators are reportedly working on a new game, but don’t worry it’s supposedly a mobile game, nowhere near the size and scale of a PC title.

As reported by CD-Action, the Gotovtsev brothers are looking for “veterans” to begin work on the next title, as said by a previous employee who worked with them.

What exactly this new game could be remains a mystery, though if it’s a mobile game players can at least temper their expectations to avoid yet another catastrophic disappointment.

It’s also said the brothers have been sending employment offers to developers who worked on The Day Before, including those that were fired or left the project on bad terms. It’s said the pair are acting "as if nothing ever happened”.

As for The Day Before, you can no longer buy the game on Steam, and the online services are set to be shut down this very week.
