Stardew Valley New Free Fan Mechanic Offers Incredible In-Game Rewards

Turn your daily routine into a treasure hunt

A new Stardew Valley mod offers players a load of incredible in-game rewards, and it might be worth your time to install.

Once you become intertwined in the gameplay loop, Stardew Valley has been proven to be a deeply rewarding game filled with various challenges and secrets to uncover.

Even with nine years’ worth of updates to enjoy, modders are still finding ways to flesh out the game and add new things for us to discover. Even with the 1.7 update in the works, I can't believe it.

This is certainly the case with Serendipity Rewards, a mod by Stardew Valley modders JavCombita and DeusCMZ that aims to make the gameplay experience a lot more rewarding.

It essentially does this by giving you small rewards for performing everyday tasks in Stardew Valley. For example, you may receive extra items from farming, mining, or digging while out in the fields.

What Kind of Rewards Are On Offer?

So, what specific rewards can you get? To start with, I should explain that the mod has a chance to trigger something known as a Lucky Event every time you perform a basic action.

For farming, you can get Double Harvests, discover random Seeds, or find wild Flowers from these Lucky Events. From mining, you’ll get massive drops of ore from a single node or find hidden gems inside regular stones.

Meanwhile, chopping down trees may trigger “woodsplosions” which grant extra wood, and you can also shake seasonal fruits out of non-fruit trees. Digging, on the other hand, allows you to unearth artifacts, treasures, and additional resources.

Finally, performing any of these actions can also grant stashes of coins, which you’ll find in stockpiles between 100g and 500g.

If you’d like to adjust just how common or rare these Lucky Events are, the mod also allows you to configure that.

With full integration with the Generic Mod Config Menu mod, you can set your chances accordingly. Set it to 100% if you want guaranteed rewards, or set it to 5% if you want a balanced game. Set it even lower than that if you want to make these events a lot rarer.

Serendipity Rewards is also highly compatible with other mods, having recently received a new upgrade called the Universal Update. This update added a new feature which scans your other installed mods and adds their crops, fruits, and gems to the reward pool.
