A new Stardew Valley mod will finally put you in your place, introducing a challenging new game mode not for the faint of heart.
Stardew Valley has ten years worth of content and mods now, with some completely transforming the way the game looks, sounds, and plays.
It’s pretty clear that even after all this time, creators are still coming up with fresh ideas for new mods, as evidenced by this new free download which has just hit Nexus Mods.
Farmhouse Invasion by EliteWise adds a challenging fresh gameplay twist to Stardew Valley, one for players who want a little more difficulty when it comes to protecting their crops.

The mod adds a wave of monsters which spawn around your farmhouse each morning, giving you another reason to protect your livelihood and drive them off the land.
The monsters appear each in-game morning, and will be waiting for you outside your farmhouse to ambush you.
They’ll appear in any free tiles which are available on your farm, where they’ll appear in groups of between five to ten creatures for you to fend off.
These monsters can also range in species, with Bugs, Flies, Duggies, Grubs, Green Slimes, or Rock Crabs listed as potential creatures which may appear on your land each morning.
Another thing to note is that the mod works in multiplayer, but right now it only works for the host to spawn monsters rather than clients connecting to another player’s game.
You can download Farmhouse Invasion now from the Stardew Valley page on Nexus Mods.

Stardew Valley has been host to a lot of different mods over the years, with some creations completely transforming the game into a brand new experience.
We also have a list of the best Stardew Valley mods for you to check out, some of them introducing brand new features and content which expands the game with many more things to see and do.
For example, Stardew Valley Expanded adds 28 new NPCs, 58 locations, and 278 character events to increase the diversity and variety of the game’s different events, as well as changing the map and adding new items.
Meanwhile, mods like NPC Map Locations and Lookup Anything don’t necessarily add a load of new content, but instead introduce new quality-of-life content which can improve the experience for casual players or those who don’t want some of the busywork the game features.
