A new mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will transport its players to a whole new world, a perfect way to pass the time until The Elder Scrolls VI comes out.

It’s baffling to think about how much content players have been able to squeeze out of Skyrim since its release in 2011, though to be fair Bethesda has helped on that front with several re-releases.

The pressure is on for The Elder Scrolls VI to live up to the hype, check out the teaser trailer below

While we wait for actual gameplay for The Elder Scrolls VI to be shown off, you can still make Skyrim interesting with a variety of expansion mods, one of which we’re going to showcase today.

It’s called Assault On Valenwood, and it’s available to download for free right now on NexusMods.

In short, it’s an enormous quest expansion with a new area to explore, new characters, weapons, lore, the works.

If it weren’t for Bethesda’s infamously long development cycles, you could almost mistake it for an official DLC expansion.

Players on PC will be able to grab the mod no problem, though I’m not 100% sure Xbox and PlayStation players will have similar success, unless it’s been ported to the CreationClub.

Whether you’ve done everything the base game has to offer or you just fancy a break from the main story, Assault On Valenwood should keep you occupied for several hours, and you can always abandon it and go back to it later if you need to.

Here’s hoping that The Elder Scrolls VI has just as much content in store for us, and that’s not counting all the expansions players will be able to make for themselves, as it’ll probably be a modder's paradise.

It has to launch first though, and it seems we’re still no closer to an actual release date just yet…
