Combining the mythology of God of War with the exploration and combat found in Ghost of Yōtei, this upcoming RPG is already catching our eye.
Aiming to be released next year and developed by Chinese developers 11 Games, Longevity: Yin and Yang is an upcoming RPG which aims to blend Chinese mythology, epic combat, and engaging storytelling to bring us the next major AAA launch from the east.
In this action-adventure title, players will no doubt be reminded of other releases in the genre such as God of War and more recently, Black Myth: Wukong, especially with the latter elevating Chinese storytelling to the foreground of western releases.
Set to be on a scale unlike any that have come before, Longevity: Yin and Yang offers a single-player experience full of action, Chinese folklore, puzzle solving and of course, exploration across both desert landscapes, ancient temples and everything in between.

Set during the Ming Dynasty, Longevity: Yin and Yang will follow the story of an imperial secret agent from the Jinyiwei, who is sent on a mission to uncover the secrets of immortality.
Since its announcement, a gameplay trailer has been released for the game which has been made in Unreal Engine 5.
Here we can see the beautiful scenery, impressive voice acting, and, of course, the high-octane combat that has been promised.
Drawing directly from historical legend and mythology alike, Longevity: Yin and Yang will even pay homage to the real life Emperor Jiajing who had a fascination with the secrets of immortality.
We will follow in his footsteps as he embarks on a quest to find immortality, all whilst exploring stunning landscapes and battling enemies ranging from Wajin (Japanese pirates) and even those from the spirit realm.
Blending political intrigue, mythology and folklore, and real-life historical figures and events, Longevity: Yin and Yang is set to be one of the most intriguing releases of 2026 and may even stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the greats such as Black Myth: Wukong.
Not only that but this upcoming title will appeal to those who love God of War’s exploration but are seeking a bit more challenge when it comes to combat.
In Longevity: Yin and Yang, players will need to master a unique combat system which implements dodges, counters and combo chains.
Perfect dodges will build ‘Void’ and in turn, they can be transformed into powerful attacks known as ‘Substance’.
Overall, Longevity: Yin and Yang is one to keep on your radar as it releases next year for PC.
