Fans of the Stalker series, who also play on PC, should check out this incredibly well-made mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, for the ultimate survival experience.
Mods are a great source of expanded content for a game, either adding to what’s already there or making changes to the gameplay to allow for greater freedom or enhanced difficulty.

In this case however, the mod is an entire game in itself, and it’s called Stalker Anomaly, a mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
If you haven’t played a Stalker game before, a good way to look at is a unique blend of Resident Evil and Fallout.
Players embark into dangerous locations filled with radiation, where environmental hazards and monsters lurk around every corner.
The sequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, is launching later this year, allowing players to experience the horrors with eerily beautiful new-gen graphics and improvements.
Before that though you should check out Stalker Anomaly if you have a PC, as a new version of the mod makes it a fantastic unofficial sequel before the real thing launches in November 2024.
There are a few different ways to enjoy the mod, the first being the game’s story mode which covers four chapters.
For a more open-world survival experience though you can also load up a sandbox mode, in addition to a warfare mode for pure action and violence.
I highly recommend giving it a go if you like survival horror, and you can find the download on ModDB for free.
You will of course need a copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, but that’s not hard to get your hands on nowadays.
