Fallout: London factions trailer has us convinced this is the best Fallout in years

The fan-made Fallout game, Fallout: London has received a new trailer introducing the game’s factions.

The fan-made Fallout game, Fallout: London has received a new trailer introducing the game’s factions.

It’s going to be several years before we even come close to another official Fallout. The next game on Bethesda’s list is The Elder Scrolls VI, after that, the focus will shift to Fallout 5, which is rumoured to be another Xbox exclusive.

In the meantime, there are plenty of fan projects in the works, some of which are taking the series to places they’ve never been before, the United Kingdom.

The Fallout series has been exclusively set in the United States, but two fan-made takes on the post-apocalyptic game franchise have imagined what the Fallout world would look like in Scotland, and in London.

The latter is the topic of discussion today, as Fallout: London has released a new trailer showing off the various factions you’ll find in-game, all of which are inspired by British culture and humour.

First up is the Gentry, Londoners who had the most power and wealth before the city succumbed to a nuclear winter, who’ve taken up arms in service of the reigning monarch.

Next, you’ve got the Tommies, foot soldiers who seemingly make up the majority of forces you’ll encounter on London’s torn-up streets, packing some serious firepower and the attitude to use them.

Then there’s the Fifth Column, which many are comparing to Caeser’s Legion from Fallout: New Vegas. They’re a vile and savage bunch who despise the Gentry, meaning they could become strong allies or dangerous enemies depending on who you want to side with.

Last, but not least, there’s Camelot, which as you’d expect takes its inspiration from the story of King Arthur. Instead of guns, these guys wear medieval armour and fight with swords which is pretty neat.

Fallout: London is said to launch for PC later this year, provided it isn’t hit with any delays to its development.
