Fallout 4: Last Stand Of The Commonwealth is free to play right now

The Fallout 4: Last Stand Of The Commonwealth mod is free to play and download right now.

It’s finally arrived. The Fallout 4: Last Stand Of The Commonwealth mod is available to download and play now - allowing you to engage in an all-out full scale war against the titular Commonwealth.

If you’re a fan of Fallout, I’m afraid we’re somewhat in a quiet patch. A Fallout TV adaptation is on the way from Westworld writers Lisa Joy and Johnathan Nolan - and we know that it’s due to drop in April so we don’t have too much longer to wait. In terms of the video game series though, Bethesda is hard at work supporting Starfield with their next game presumably being The Elder Scrolls VI. That means that we’ll have to turn to fan content in our time of need but oh my, what a very special fan project I have lined up.

What about the Fallout: London mod too?

Fallout 4: Last Stand Of The Commonwealth has been created by the Sim Settlements 2 team. If this is the first you’re hearing of them, Sim Settlements is a humongous mod released in installments that essentially overhauls Fallout 4’s undeveloped settlement system, turning this into a complex city-building system. Led by project manager Kinggath, Fallout 4: Last Stand Of The Commonwealth is the final chapter of the project - and it’s going out with a bang.

In this final part of the mod, you’ll need to utilise the settlement empire you’ve created thus far and all the resources in it in order to command an army that’ll need to fight off a gunner invasion of The Commonwealth. That includes training, recruiting, and maintaining your army, as well as creating battlements, armouries, watchtowers, prisons, and various other buildings.

This chapter was first teased back in August but is available to download now from NexusMods. While you’re at it, you can also grab Gunner Outbreak and Chapter One to complete the experience. That should keep you occupied while we wait to see what Bethesda has in store.
