Elden Ring feels like a whole new game thanks to this epic new mode

Crawling dungeons on the path to glory

Elden Ring players have, generally, played the game to death, seeking out every secret, weapon, and item in order to stay for just an extra hour in The Lands Between.

If you’re playing Elden Ring on PC, you will, of course, have access to a whole host of mods that will stretch the game out or revolutionise the way you play it.

The Elden Ring DLC is up for Game of the Year at The Game Awards.

The mod we’re showcasing today is called ‘Dungeon Crawler’ and it overhauls the entire map.

This mod aims to “streamline replays of the game” by removing overworld traversal, taking away the tedious nature of travelling from place to place.

While you may argue that physically seeing The Lands Between is part of the charm, you might find that a lot of time is taken up by riding Torrent across the landscape.

Well, if this is you, Dungeon Crawler will eliminate the overworld and bring the focus to dungeons.

This means moving all essential items found in the overworld and placing them in large interconnected dungeons, turning the game into an old school dungeon crawler.

To further streamline the process, warps are included to each dungeon within the site of grace menus, meaning it’s all action, all the time.

A couple of things to note here; you can still ride Torrent in the large open areas underground, such as Siofra River and Deeproot Depths; this mod is also compatible with the DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.

I’m not sure how I feel about a mod like this, but then I’ve only played the whole game and DLC once.

I’m sure those who just want to get stuck into fights and change up their builds will love running this gauntlet.

This mod also brings a wealth of quality of life improvements and changes which will benefit the player on multiple playthroughs.
