Elden Ring: Graceborne is The Bloodborne Sequel We’ve Been Waiting For

The return of the eldritch horrors

There is no denying that Bloodborne is already quite an eerie and unsettling experience but this free download finally brings us an even creepier experience in the form of an unofficial sequel.

It has been over a decade since FromSoftware released Bloodborne and with the action RPG widely regarded as one of the best games of all time, it is no wonder that fans have been calling out for a sequel, or at least a remaster.

However, with no sign of either, it has been left to its dedicated fanbase to bring us new and exciting content and this free download does exactly that.

Graceborn is a free-to-download mod which aims to turn Elden Ring into more of a Bloodborne experience.

Elden Ring is an incredible game in its own right but it definitely lacks the Lovecraftian and eldritch horror of Bloodborne and so this mod will make the 2022 hit “into a more grim and sinister experience.”

On top of this Lovecraftian overhaul, Graceborn will also introduce functional trick weapons, firearms which can parry, quickstepping, perma-night and many other additions.

Developed by Noctis, Graceborn is a “mod overhaul still in its infancy” but still manages to boast 22 armor sets, 35 weapons, 17 trick weapons and 5 firearms in an attempt to bring Bloodborne to the Lands Between.

Elden Ring has its fair share of interesting enemies but none of which match the eldritch horrors of bosses such as Ludwig of Vicar Amelia and so this mod will completely overhaul the look of some mobs and bosses to fit that Bloodborne aesthetic.

To give your Tarnished the look of a Hunter, you can travel to the custom NPC vendor in Elden Ring’s Cathedral of Elleh to purchase your new weapons and armour sets.

As a fan-made mod, you cannot expect the entirety of Bloodborne to be ported into Elden Ring but there is no denying that Noctis has given it a good shot with the mod screenshots showing just what they have achieved.

With the Erdtree towering in the background, players now look out of place in the Lands Between with their Hunter gear and scythes and yet it is the perfect tribute to Bloodborne and even gives us a glimpse of what a potential Bloodborne 2 could look like.

Better yet, this mod is completely free to download and add to your Elden Ring save on PC so if you want to enjoy the technically advanced 2022 FromSoftware RPG with the magic and horrors of Bloodborne, this mod is the perfect opportunity to do so.
