Super Mario 64 free download available for you to claim now

Soundtrack your start to the year the right way

Alas, the festive season has drawn to a close.

And I’m guessing that means that you may now have a tad less time on your hands to dedicate to playing video games.

Did you manage to catch up on a few titles from your backlog while you were off work, school, or whatever it is that typically keeps you occupied?

I certainly did, completing Neva, Shadow Generations, and Bowser’s Fury.

You may find that your gaming hours have reduced now that it’s time to go back to the daily grind, but worry not.

There’s another way that you can inject some gaming magic into your life, and that’s via the wonderful Nintendo Music app.

If you’re writing a report or working on an essay, you can’t exactly down tools to load up your latest play, but you can transport yourself to another world while you work via gaming soundtracks.

That’s possible via Spotify, YouTube … you name it, but arguably no platform is better intended for this purpose than Nintendo Music.

Nintendo fans can look ahead to Pokémon Legends Z-A this year.

Nintendo Music is free to use if you have a valid Nintendo Switch Online membership.

And no, you don’t need the fancy ‘plus Expansion Pack’ edition of the subscription.

Nintendo Switch Online will set you back £3.49 a month, or £17.99 for one year - with a seven day free trial available.

With your subscription, you can download Nintendo Music for free and listen to plenty of your favourite gaming soundtracks to your heart’s content.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are a few of the titles with their soundtracks included.

Super Mario 64 now joins that roster.

Comprising 49 minutes of music across 36 wonderful tracks, the Super Mario 64 soundtrack is perfect for those platforming fans looking to start off 2025 with a healthy dose of nostalgia.

The 36 included tracks are as follows: ‘It's-a Me, Mario!’, ‘Title Theme’, ‘File Select’, ‘Peach's Letter’, ‘Opening’, ‘Bowser's Message’, ‘Peach's Castle’, ‘Toad's Message’, ‘Game Start’, ‘Main Theme’, ‘Stage Boss’, ‘Power Star’, ‘Course Clear’,’ Star Catch Fanfare’, ‘Race Fanfare’, ‘Slider’, ‘Piranha Plant's Lullaby’, ‘Dire, Dire Docks’, ‘Correct Solution’, ‘Cool, Cool Mountain’, ‘Bowser's Road’, ‘Bowser's Theme’, ‘Bowser Clear’, ‘Powerful Mario’, ‘Big Boo's Haunt’, ‘The Merry-Go-Round’, ‘Hazy Maze Cave’, ‘Metal Mario’, ‘Lethal Lava’, ‘Game Over’, ‘The Endless Stairs’, ‘The Final Battle’, ‘Final Battle Clear’, ‘Ending’, ‘Staff Roll’, and ‘Piranha Plant's Lullaby (Piano Version)’.

The soundtrack is available to enjoy now.
