A long-awaited Pokémon theme park finally launches, but other games deserve the same love, too, says the community.
Without question, Nintendo’s Pokémon series is one of the most popular franchises in all of entertainment, and not just in the world of video games. It’s why over the years, we’ve not only been treated to video games, animations and trading cards, but also countless memorabilia, too.
Now, the Pokémon fandom has taken a step further with a brand new theme park attraction opening next month in Yomiuriland, Tokyo, Japan. Over the last week, media outlets and content creators were invited to the park before the doors were opened to the public.
PokéPark Kanto will officially open on 5 February 2026, and will feature themed areas, Trainers’ Gym, Battle Courts, a Forest and more, with over 600 Pokémon creatures to discover. It looks like it’s a Pokémon fan's dream come true
Gamers Want Even More Theme Parks!

“'Resident Evil Park', with the adjoining Silent Hill Park'.... I mean, who doesn't want to go there!” said Sinhealer, and I’d be there too. As an obsessed Resident Evil fan, I’d love this, and a real-life Lakeside Amusement Park would be awesome.
Saying that, the prospect of that nightmarish theme park that Heather Mason had to explore in Silent Hill 3 is a thing of nightmares, so as long as it remains make-believe, it will be ok. Right?
“Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Final Fantasy, God of War, Crash Bandicoot, Astro Bot, Tekken, Mortal Kombat,” said OPEKEPE, naming multiple great franchises.
“Call of Duty and Fallout theme parks would be hella fun,” suggested therealsmithshady14.
“The legend of Zelda,” added Travic3, and yes, we’d want that too!
Of course, it will be unlikely that any of these theme parks would come to fruition, apart from maybe one.
Considering that we already have Nintendo theme park attractions, and now Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda doesn't feel outside the realm of possibility.
That being said, if we do get a Legend of Zelda theme park attraction, it might be best to set our expectations for it to be located in the United States and/or Japan. But hey, at least we’ve got CBeebies and Thomas the Tank attractions. YAY! (sarcasm, by the way).
