Pokémon Pokopia continues to delight and surprise players, with another ‘secret’ item having just been uncovered.
Many players are likely now at the stage of terraforming and decorating their various lands after completing the main story.
It’s recommended that you finish the story first as you’ll unlock a ton of skills, recipes, and items that’ll make customising the game’s many biomes much easier.
There’s a Hidden Item Featuring Fan-Favourite ‘Mon Oddish
One Pokémon Pokopia player was seemingly in the midst of developing Pallette Town when they stumbled across a surprise feature of the green in-game metal fence.
“This item has a surprise,” began Reddit user Relative_Jeweler_949.

“When placing the item on the right in bulk, sometimes an Oddish version of it appears. Wonder if there is a similar mechanic for a lot of other items.”
You can see the variant below.
The Oddish version is so much cuter and now I’m wondering how many people are going to spam build this fence just so they can pick out and display exclusively Oddish variants.
There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the variant beyond that.
“My favourite detail has been that if you put two Game Boys next to each other, it adds a link cable,” replied gilgada.
Players unlock a Game Boy in the Sparkling Skylands if you’re yet to unearth that particular item.
“Nice find! The Pikachu Fountain and Chansey Plant also have a chance to have Ditto's face. The Chansey Plant is much easier as you can just keep picking it up and putting it down until the face is Ditto's,” added Kappayello.
“Duckweed has a chance to pop up with white flowers,” remarked Dr0ran9e, while Marzie-Tek added, “I know making the lily pads has a chance to spawn them with lotus because I had that happen, think it's just random percent chance on them popping up.”
The fun discoveries don’t end there. TubeForge noted, “If you put a pan over a bonfire it makes a little stand.”
If you yearn for a much larger discovery, you may be surprised to discover that the game is hiding a secret gate that doesn’t link to a new land.
Instead, it reveals several hard-to-obtain rewards that only players with a complete Pokédex can redeem. That’s something that’ll keep you busy.
If you haven’t yet read our six must-know building tips, you should do that before you embark on terraforming.
It can be an overwhelming process, so it’s best you go in with some handy advice and a rough plan.
Pokémon Pokopia is easily one of the year’s standout releases, and I’m sure players are hoping that it’ll be supported for years to come.
