Pokémon Pokopia is issuing a hilarious new freebie you’re going to want to add to your world, but be prepared to fight for it.
It’s April Fool’s Day, which means there are a lot of online jokes circulating the internet right now.
From fake new game announcements to light-hearted collaborations there’s a lot of data to process, so stay vigilant and don’t let yourself be tricked if you can help it.
This Pokémon Pokopia freebie is no trick however, but the sheer silliness of it might make that hard to believe.

From today, 1 April, to tomorrow, 2 April, players can participate in an in-game challenge that’ll reward them with an inflatable Sudowoodo upon completion.
Sudowoodo is a charming Pokémon, best known for its rather effective method of camouflage. The Pokémon looks like a Grass-Type but is actually a Rock-Type, meaning it threw a lot of players off their game in its first appearance in Pokémon Gold & Silver.
The Pokémon also just looks a little goofy, but lovable all the same.
Maybe that’s why the Pokopia developers decided Sudowoodo would be a great choice for a fun April Fools giveaway, but it won’t be handed to you for nothing.
To get started the first thing you need to do is boot up the game and head towards the Pokémon Center PC.
It can be any of the PCs at any of the Pokémon Centers, and don’t worry if you haven\t rebuilt any yet as that’s not required. All that matters is the PC is working as intended as some are broken when you first encounter them.

Once you’ve started the event you need to wander throughout your town and find three Pokémon who want to quiz you.
Answer three questions correctly and you’ll be rewarded with the Inflatable Sudowoodo.
If you end up missing the event and don’t grab the Inflatable Sudowoodo as a result don’t panic, as there are apparently a couple of workarounds.
You could reverse the clock on your Nintendo Switch 2 and gain access to the event again. Alternatively you can head to the ‘Treasure Island’ Cloud Island, take a picture of an Inflatable Sudowoodo and 3D Print it once you’ve rebuilt one of the Pokémon Centers.
This is a very limited-time event so be sure to check it out before 5am on 2 April in your local time.
