The next Pokémon game has been fully revealed by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, and fans have begun speculating further on which Pokémon we’ll see in the game and how they will evolve.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will see mega evolutions return to the franchise and since the reveal, players have been wondering how many there will be, as they’re usually limited.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be bringing back mega evolutions

A leak has appeared over on Reddit, pointing to a Twitter thread of cryptic clues.

In the thread, a leaker called Pyoro notes that there will be 27 mega evolutions in the final game, and this has led Redditors to wonder which Pokémon will have the honour of giant growth.

Mega evolutions have been a fan-favourite feature since they debuted, and one user is very excited, saying, “I’m foaming at the mouth, megas were the best gimmick Pokémon has ever had, and it’s not close.”

Everyone wants to see their favourite get a mega evolution, so each fan is chiming in with their choice, and their hopes.

“I need mega Aegislash, please Gamefreak,” said ErieTheOwl.

“Dragonite deserves a mega. Was robbed in Shield/Sword,” commented ruddiger7.

Not everyone is going to be pleased with the outcome, with so many Pokémon vying for a new evolution, and it’s likely the developers will focus on the more popular critters.

“Watch as Gamefreak add Mega Charizard Z and Mega Mewtwo Z,” said venfare64.

Surely we’ll get more reveals as the months march on, hopefully showing off more of the evolutions and design choices.

Will Game Freak give the classic Pokémon we all know and love, another chance to shine in mega evolutions?

Some fans want more than the evolutions, and are hoping for more regional variations, with one saying, “Regional forms are the smartest thing Game Freak has ever done.”

The community will never agree on which Pokémon should appear, as there are so many now.
