A brand new Pokémon release centred around the best games in the franchise (do not argue with me, I am right) Pokémon Black & White randomly dropped out of nowhere a couple of days ago… but you’ll probably have more luck winning the lottery than you would getting ahold of it now.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has been healing, as of late. Previous sets (looking at you, Prismatic Evolutions) have been borderline impossible to get ahold of at retailers, but the latest set, Scarlet & Violet: Journey Together, has actually been pretty easy to nab (without resorting to scalpers).
Earlier this week on Tuesday, sort of out of nowhere, a brand new Pokémon TCG set centred around Pokémon Black & White’s Reshiram and Zekrom dropped on the Pokémon Centre website… and it’s completely sold out already.

However, although getting your hands on the set now is going to be pretty difficult, users over on the r/PokemonTCG subreddit were at least appreciative of the fact that it was relatively easy to actually buy it this time (opposed to previous drops where technical issues plagued pre-orders).
Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches on Switch 2 later this year.
“I actually managed to get one of each etb and I was like 2 hours late to the queue. This is a massive improvement imo since I missed the PE, JT, and DR pc etbs,” commented user EcchiNama.

“I still think more improvements could be made, but I think they are moving in the right direction.”
“I agree! I missed out on Journey Together AND Destined Rivals despite being poised for both,” replied user Kintsukuroi85.
“I got in today even though my internet c**pped out halfway through. Re-entered the queue at 2.9 million at 345pm and still got in!”
Personally I didn’t manage to grab one because I was busy at the time, so I really, really hope they restock this one ASAP (and I hope it’s just as easy to queue this time around too).
