Who wants to claim some free Nintendo goodies? Well, of course you do, otherwise you wouldn't be here and you can claim freebies related to the recent release, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

It’s easy to forget that for years, Nintendo has had its own rewards scheme that gives players coins for buying games, DLC, and merchandise directly from its store or by completing simple questionnaires related to the games you’ve bought. A lot of these Nintendo freebies are exclusive that you can’t buy anywhere else.

Check out the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door trailer below!

In our review of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, we said: “If you were a fan of last year’s Super Mario RPG, this is undoubtedly the next step in your Mario role-playing journey, and it’s accessible to a wide variety of gamers. It’s a must-play adventure from start to finish, and one I couldn’t have been happier to embark on again.”

If you want to get into the spirit of all things Paper Mario, then you might want to check out the limited icons that are available to download now but you must first be a member of Nintendo Switch Online. The free Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door icons will be available in four waves.

The first wave is active now and runs until 29 May and the second wave runs from 29 May to 5 June. Wave three runs from 5 June to 12 June and the final fourth wave is from 12 June until 19 June 2024.

Each Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door pack features six icons and will cost 10 Platinum Points with some backgrounds costing 5 Platinum Points. In case you didn't know, there are two kinds of reward points with Nintendo.

Platinum Points can be redeemed via My Nintendo Rewards which currently includes a snazzy Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door notebook and the Gold Points are earned by purchasing games from the Nintendo eShop and can be redeemed as a discount on future digital game purchases.
