It’s that time of the month again folks, because Nintendo just dropped a bunch of Animal Crossing freebies on the Nintendo Switch - and, as always, you’ve only got a limited time to claim them before they’re gone forever.

As revealed by the NSO Icon Alerts Twitter account, 39 icons and 10 profile accessories based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons are now available to claim on Nintendo Switch.

Hopefully we get a new Animal Crossing game on the Nintendo Switch 2, feels like a no-brainer right?

I’m also absolutely thrilled to announce that one of said NSO Icons features Lolly, the best cat in Animal Crossing (this is not up for debate).

Also, Elise is there for some reason. Whose favourite Animal Crossing village is Elise? You’re not in trouble, I just wanna talk.

As per usual, to claim these you’re going to need a Nintendo Switch Online membership and some My Nintendo Platinum Points to claim the NSO Icons.

My heart goes out to all of the Animal Crossing superfans who are going to have to somehow scrape together 440 My Nintendo Platinum Points to nab all of these.

No exact date on when these will disappear for good, but you likely have until the end of March at the earliest, and the start of April at the very, very latest.

On the plus side, the Super Mario 64 NSO Icons aren’t going anywhere until the end of March either, so you should have more than enough time to claim all of those and the Animal Crossing icons before the end of the month too.

No word yet on what NSO Icons will replace the ones currently on offer in April, but Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is set to drop on March 20 so I reckon that’ll be the most likely option.

Or maybe they’ll drop some Metroid NSO Icons! Haha just kidding, there’s probably a better chance of them dropping some Halo icons.
