Nintendo Switch 2 gamers are loving this new major update for one of the system's most popular titles.
Granted, it does feel like there is a short supply of top-tier first-party Nintendo Switch 2 games at the moment, especially with its launch line-up not offering the biggest amount of choice for early adopters, but hopefully, that will all change soon.
For example, by the end of this year, we have the likes of Pokémon Legends: Z-A (16 October), Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (6 November) and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (4 December) all to look forward to.
At the moment, Mario Kart World is probably the best and most popular game on the Nintendo Switch 2, after all, who doesn't love a bit of Mario Kart?

“Mario Kart World might not be quite as easy to recommend as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yet, but it’s still an absolutely fantastic kart racer that’s just as chaotic, imaginative, and vibrant as its predecessors,” we said in our review.
As brought to our attention by the Twitter user Stealth, a new update for Mario Kart World is now live that makes this fantastic game even better.
Some of the improvements made with update 1.3.0 include being able to easily join friends ‘Knockout Tour’, two players can now free roam together, the map choice in ‘VS Race’ has increased, as well as a ton of other quality-of-life enhancements.

“We are so back!” declared musicvgofficial.
“Wait, this single update might single-handedly save the game,” claimed NakeemHere.
“Just played 10 games on the new patch, and seven out of 10 of those games had a three-lap course as an option. Holy ****, I can’t believe it,” exclaimed Bringus.
“NO WAY, THEY ACTUALLY FIXED UNLOCKING CHARACTERS,” yelled wutadam139.

“Whoa.. this is awesome. The appearance conditions of at least five of the Peach coins were an issue,” said AoharuTruth. “Item box reappearance and invincibility extension are also huge quality-of-life improvements!”
“Free roam feels like something Nintendo can utilise on special events,” suggested sonson010001. “Imagine festive decorations for Xmas/Halloween or even a character's birthday.”
“Amazing update. Now all they need is to add a jukebox feature like in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The soundtrack is too good not to have one,” replied AKong_47.
Hopefully, this will just be one of many big updates that will continue to improve this delightful game. Mario Kart World is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.
