If you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online, you can try two fantastic games for free but only for a limited time.

Depending on the NSO tier that you subscribe to, you can enjoy a plethora of fantastic retro Nintendo titles from the NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, GBA and even SEGA Mega Drive era. You can also enjoy other benefits such as discounts, Nintendo Music access, and more.

Check out the Dead Cells trailer below!

However, unlike other video game subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, you do not get the addition of recent AAA first-party or major indie darlings. But to be fair, Nintendo Switch Online is a much cheaper service, plus you can't go wrong with loads of retro goodness.

That being said, regardless of the Nintendo Switch Online tier, you can take advantage of free game trials for select titles from time to time, such as the two fantastic games which are the topic of this article.

Right now, you can trial both the critically acclaimed Dead Cells from Motion Twin as well as the beloved Moving Out 2 from SMG Studio and Devm Games. However, you won't have long to trial both games because the offer ends on 5 February 2025.

#NintendoSwitchOnline members! You can now download and try two select games at no additional cost until 2/5 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

“Dead Cells is a roguelite, metroidvania-inspired, action-platformer. You'll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle... assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat,” reads the synopsis of the game.

“Moving Out is back and wackier than ever, and now with ONLINE PLAY! Return to Packmore and use your moving skills across brand-new dimensions and some old favourites. Help rebuild Smooth Moves and become an all-star F.A.R.T. (Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technician),” reads the description of the sequel.

What’s more, by downloading and playing each of the two trials, you will also be rewarded with 100 Platinum points each. This is one of two free Nintendo currencies that can be spent on exclusive profile icons as well as physical goodies via My Nintendo Rewards.

Dead Cells and Moving Out 2 are out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
