Finally, a Nintendo Switch 2 update fixes a key issue that should have been corrected from the start. Better late than never, as they say.
After many rumours, leaks and anticipation, the Nintendo Switch 2 launched earlier this year and became an instant commercial success. This is despite what many would consider to be a lacking launch line-up, with only Mario Kart World being an immediate highlight.
“Mario Kart World might not be quite as easy to recommend as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yet, but it’s still an absolutely fantastic kart racer that’s just as chaotic, imaginative, and vibrant as its predecessors,” said GAMINGbible in our review.
“Knockout Tour alone has ensured I’ll be playing for a long-old time yet, even if it does have me swearing like a sailor who just stubbed his toe. Savour the rage of second place, it’s how you know you’re alive.”

Thankfully, several months after its launch, the Nintendo Switch 2 has treated us to other fantastic titles such as Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.

As with the original Nintendo Switch, its successor can connect to a variety of Bluetooth devices such as controllers, headsets, and earbuds. However, connecting to the newest console isn't the smoothest, or at least, it wasn't.
If I remember correctly, the original Nintendo Switch never received a Bluetooth headset update until September 2021, so I suppose at least the Switch 2 had this feature much sooner, despite the flaw.
Yet, the Bluetooth capabilities that launched with the Nintendo Switch 2 had various connection issues, such as failing to connect with devices when the console wakes up from sleep mode or when leaving airplane mode. Thankfully, it looks like update version 21.0.1 has fixed that frustrating issue.
The latest Nintendo Switch 2 update is available to download right now via the console system settings.
