Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Kirby Air Riders are just two of the major releases which have launched on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 this year.
Now to celebrate the launch of both the action-adventure and racing titles, Nintendo is giving fans the chance to show their love with some free content.
First, let us look back on these two major releases.
Released back in November, Kirby Air Riders is a racing game developed by Bandai Namco Studios exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Set in the beloved Kirby universe, players are able to control Kirby and friends in multiple game modes including racing, traversal, and combat.
Including all of the modes featured in 2003’s Kirby Air Ride, this version also featured a single-player story mode, as well as brand-new characters, vehicles, and features.
Our very own Sam Cawley called Kirby Air Riders “the Switch 2’s best racer” in his review.
“Kirby Air Riders may fall short in terms of track selection compared to Mario Kart World, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t the best racing game released this year, and one of the best first-party Nintendo games to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2,” he wrote.

As for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, it launched earlier this month on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Players take on the role of bounty hunter Samus Aran as she is transported to the undiscovered planet of Viewros.
After being tasked by its inhabitants to complete a mission, she soon finds herself confronting rival Sylux as she battles for survival.
Unfortunately, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was not everything that we were hoping for and only received a 6/10 from us.
However, if you are a fan of Kirby Air Riders or Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Nintendo has you covered.
How To Redeem Your Freebies
Shared on the NSO Icon Alerts Twitter page, both games have received dedicated icons, backgrounds and frames to customise your Nintendo handhelds with.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond includes six character icons, four backgrounds, and three frames.
Whilst Kirby Air Riders boasts a whopping 25 character icons, eight backgrounds, and four frames.
Featuring all of your favourite characters and iconic locations in terms of backgrounds, these free downloads are not to miss out on if you are a fan of both franchises.
Although they cost Platinum Coins, this virtual currency is easy to pick up just by purchasing and playing games on the Nintendo Switch and so there is no doubt that you have hoarded enough over time.
