A company has pledged to give employees a free Nintendo Switch 2 as a reward for their hard work.

This week, the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 has launched, but you probably don't need me to tell you that, because it’s practically impossible to avoid the “it has arrived” posts across all of social media.

The Nintendo Switch 2 boasts enhanced visuals, performance and a whole host of quality of life improvements over its 2017 predecessor.

Additionally, you can even play improved versions of last-gen games, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, as well as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and more.

It’s certainly a great time to be a Nintendo fan if you were able to pick up its latest machine. However, it’s even greater if you’re an employee of South Korean video game publisher and developer, Nexon.

As reported by Tweaktown, Nexon has promised to give all of its employees of Nexon Korea Corporation and Nexon Networks Corporation a free Nintendo Switch 2, as a result of a pre-arranged labour agreement.

“We decided to provide Nintendo Switch 2 to all employees in order to reward the hard work of our employees and encourage them to have fun during their leisure time," read an internal company memo.

However, not only is this going to be a huge expense (which may or may not end up being a tax write-off), but due to current stock issues of it being the Nintendo Switch 2 launch week, those employees may have to wait a while.

"Due to the global interest, it is expected to take a considerable amount of time for the company to secure and distribute the entire quantity required,” the memo continued.

“We cannot give you an exact timing for payment at this time, and we would like to inform you in advance that payment may be somewhat delayed depending on the supply and demand situation, so we ask for your understanding.”

Hopefully, this awesome gesture will be a case of patience being a virtue.
