Animal Crossing fans shouldn’t miss this Nintendo Switch 2 game

Is this just fantasy?

It’s not long until the Nintendo Switch 2 launches and many months of rumour and speculation come to an end.

Fans are eager to get their hands on the new hardware, but many are eyeing the future and potential releases from Nintendo, as well as which of their Switch games will be getting the upgrade treatment.

One game that fans of the cosy genre will have their sights on is FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, which recently released for Nintendo Switch.

This sim mixes classic village life gameplay with dungeon crawling and material gathering, making it a perfect game for fans of Animal Crossing, or even Stardew Valley.

Fantasy Life i will be getting a Switch 2 upgrade, making it a perfect game to kick off your Switch 2 adventures, though the upgrade cost is not known at this point.

Of course, the new hardware is backward compatible, so you’ll be able to play the game with ease on launch anyway, but if you’re after a prettier package, you’ll have to hold out for a little while longer.

Hopefully, it won’t be long until Nintendo unveils a new Animal Crossing title, until then, there are plenty of cosy titles to keep you farming, hunting, and falling in love.

It’s nice to know this will be supported by an upgrade; I’ll admit, it’s a game I’ve got my eye on as I yearn for more cosy experiences, with a bit of danger thrown in.

Over on Reddit, one fan of the game asked if it would be supported in the future, and the community confirmed the upgrade: “Your save data will stay intact if you get the Switch 2 upgrade later,” said hepp48.

If you’ve been waiting for Fantasy Life i, and you’re getting a Switch 2 on launch day, this might be the perfect combination.
