Those who wish to return to the post-apocalyptic wastelands but don’t want to wait for Fallout 5 need not worry as this upcoming title has everything you’re looking for.

Developed by Ukranian game developer GSC Game World, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an upcoming FPS survival horror title made using Unreal Engine 5.

Combining the post-apocalyptic elements of the Fallout series, Heart of Chornobyl promises to feature a huge, realistic world for players to explore including a 64-square-kilometer radioactive area.

With a branching story, players will also get to choose how their story goes.

Additionally, Heart of Chornobyl will include a dynamic day-to-night cycle and weather system to make it feel even more realistic.

With advanced AI and a life-simulating system, living in a post-apocalyptic setting will feel more real than ever as you face dangerous enemies, deadly anomalies and uncover powerful artifacts.

Set to release on 20 November, the official synopsis for the next instalment in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series reads as follows:

“Chornobyl Exclusion Zone has changed dramatically after the second massive explosion in year 2006.

Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, warring factions have made the Zone a very tough place to survive.

Nevertheless, artifacts of unbelievable value attracted many people called S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, who entered the Zone for their own risk striving to make a fortune out of it or even to find the Truth concealed in the Heart of Chornobyl.”

As a lone stalker, you will be able to make your way through the wastelands in just a few months and with Fallout 5 not expected to arrive anytime soon, this will make the perfect replacement in the meantime.
