Elements from two popular series have collided to create this thrilling upcoming release.

The neon lights of Cyberpunk 2077 might not be shining brightly in this new sci-fi horror, but the advanced technology of the CD Projekt Red title certainly is.

Married together with the tense atmosphere of Resident Evil, Astropulse Reincarnation has us intrigued and, if we’re honest, a little on edge.

An extended trailer has been on YouTube since April of this year, however, if you’ve not been aware that a new experience was in the works, it’s easily missed.

Or mistaken for another game entirely.

Prepare for the end of the world in Astropulse Reincarnation

The trailer, while stunning to behold, doesn’t give much away.

In fact, it gives nothing away.

“I love trailers where the only thing I can think of afterwards is ‘Yes, but what is it?’” posted Yezzik on the Games subreddit.

User JRod-Director remarked, “The trailer is definitely dark and foreboding but would like to see some gameplay.”

Without gameplay, the cinematic aspect of this trailer is appreciated but not what gamers want to see.

Still, it shows huge potential – now all we need is for the developers to stick the landing.

There’s still no ETA for when this game will launch, so it could end up being another instance where we get hyped about a title that never comes to pass.

We’re a hopeful bunch, eh?

What we do know about Astropulse Reincarnation is that it’s being built using Unreal Engine 5, and that one of its devs is a former Blizzard artist.

Moreover, that it’s set on war-torn earth, though what exactly caused the devastation specifically is yet another enigmatic quality of the trailer.

The moment Imagendary Studios shares an update about the project, and perhaps even a rough release date, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Until then, all we can do is admire the hauntingly stunning visuals of this single-player adventure.
