Cyberpunk 2077 fans officially treated to new adventure you can check out now

Night City never sleeps

More Night City shenanigans are coming our way in a new Cyberpunk 2077 adventure.

CD Projekt Red may have shifted its focus to The Witcher 4, however, it hasn’t stopped pouring love into Cyberpunk 2077.

Its dedication to transforming this game from flop to award-winning is an outcome few of us imagined, yet we’re grateful it happened because it gives us such a vivid world to lose ourselves in.

Players can return to Night City in the base game, the Phantom Liberty DLC, and also in this upcoming new tale.

Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad #1 is now available, and is the first issue of a four part series.

Cyberpunk's Night City is a dangerous place

Promising to shine a “spotlight on cyberpsychosis”, as well as delve deeper into MaxTac lore, this seems to be the start of an adventure chock full of potential.

Having got to know MaxTac in Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners, we’re ever curious about this specialist branch of the NCPD.

In this story, they seem to be taking centre stage as they face down a “corpo netrunner turned cyberpsych”.

Its Dark Horse Comics excerpt reads as follows:

“The squad’s mission: eliminate the target and save lives, but the scene is unlike anything they’ve encountered! With the building on lockdown, the psycho has the facilities and its occupants wired for destruction!”

Not exactly the type of situation you want to find yourself in, yet it feels all too commonplace for the residents of Night City.

As previously mentioned, Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad #1 is available to buy now, having launched on 12 February.

Retailing at just $3.99, it’s a cheap but stunning addition to the ever-growing Cyberpunk franchise.

I, for one, can’t wait to find out what happens to MaxTac, both in this first issue and the remaining three.

Let’s face it, if it happens in Night City, it’s sure to be a wild ride.
