Assassin's Creed Red live service elements spotted in gameplay leak

Assassin's Creed Red live service elements spotted in gameplay leak

could live service be a feature in Assassin's Creed Red?

We might still have a wait on our hands yet, but from what we’re learning of Assassin’s Creed Red, this game is going to include a lot of features.

One feature appears to be live service aspects, as seen in a recent Assassin’s Creed Red gameplay leak that’s dominating Reddit right now.

Naturally, the excitement for this new Assassin’s Creed title is palpable, so, while leaks are questionable at best, they do allow fans to (potentially) catch a glimpse of what’s to come.

Live service – if true – isn't surprising given previous speculation regarding where Ubisoft will take its popular franchise next.

Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson wrote a report detailing how live service would play a large role in ‘Assassin’s Creed Infinity’; what Henderson described as the “core hub” of the franchise moving forward.

“The main focus of Infinity is a live service offering, which is all told via the modern-day story. To start, Infinity will launch on the same day as Red,” he remarked in his article. A remark that seems to have been corroborated by this recent leak.

Being able to continue playing long after the main story ends is undoubtedly something players will want – it offers longevity to an otherwise short experience.

This Assassin's Creed Red reveal trailer still gets us. Check it out for yourselves!

Nevertheless, with live service typically involving ‘battle passes’, some may find it less accessible not more so because of this decision.

That being said, until Ubisoft confirms that Assassin’s Creed Red will include live service features, this leak, regardless of how convincing it seems, needs to be approached with cautious optimism.

Unless AC Red is pushed back, it should be releasing no later than March 2025. That seems like a long time to wait, but we’re already mid-April so those months will soon fly by.
