As reported by DSO Gaming, MAWI United GmbH has had an incredible new demo video published on the YouTube channel, Digital Dreams showcasing the immense power of Unreal Engine 5.1.

Powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, the Unreal Engine 5.1 demo video showcases what can be done with Nanite and Lumen technology. The dynamic lighting and high-count poly assets are truly a sight to behold.

In total, the video runs for just over eight and a half minutes, split into a day and night cycle with each segment showcasing an ungodly level of detail. As indicated by the title of the video, it’s suggested that this is what an Assassin’s Creed: Origins remake could look like, if that were to happen one day.

While it’s unlikely that current-gen video games would match this kind of visual fidelity (at least today), this incredible demo perhaps gives us a glimpse of where the future of gaming could be headed.

If you’re curious to see what this Unreal Engine 5.1 demo looks like first-hand you can check out its playable demo right now. The direct download link can be found in the original article from DSOG.

However, just as a heads up, if you do want to experience the full glory of this demo, MAWI United GmbH has recommended using an RTX2080 as a minimum GPU or even an RTX3080.

In related news, someone is remaking the legendary RTS game, The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth using Unreal Engine and it looks epic! If that’s not enough Unreal Engine goodness for you, then check out this Pokemon-inspired Johto Adventures.
