If I said the phrase ‘man of the moment,’ I’m imagining we’d all have the same guy spring to mind. Yes, I’m talking about Pedro Pascal. If HBO’s The Last of Us wasn’t providing TikTok fancam creators with enough content, we’ve now got double the weekly Pedro as The Mandalorian’s third season has finally kicked off.

If you hadn’t heard, HBO’s The Last of Us is a pretty big deal. The premiere marked HBO’s second-largest debut in the last decade, so it’s no surprise that the series was promptly renewed for a second season. In the last two months, Pedro Pascal has very much become the internet’s cool, slutty daddy. I’m sure that’s a moniker he’s hoping to shake off seeing as he’s been asked about it a million times, but the people have spoken. It’ll likely come as no surprise then that Pedro is officially the most popular celebrity on the planet.

Take a look at the promo for The Last of Us’ next episode, ‘When We Are In Need’ below.

Pedro Pascal is currently sitting atop IMDb’s Starmeter which essentially tracks the most searched celebrities. The actor has been dominating the top spot for quite some time. In fact, many of the leading celebrities on there have a The Last of Us connection. Bella Ramsey occupies second place while Rutina Wesley - who played Maria in episode six - has risen 1,166 places since the episode aired to land in fourth place.

The late Annie Wersching sits in ninth place following her recent tragic passing. The actress portrayed Tess in Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us game. Anna Torv, the show’s Tess, is in the thirteenth most searched star on the platform, with Melanie Lynskey also starring in the top 20. Nico Parker, Ashley Johnson, Gabriel Luna, Graham Greene, Murray Bartlett, and Nick Offerman also all feature in the top 100.

The top 10, aside from the aforementioned The Last of Us cast members, is mainly filled out with stars from Outer Banks and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - two major recent releases. It’s nice to see King Pedro dominating the top spot though.
