One Of 2020's Best Games Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass

With a 91% rating on Metacritic, Crusader Kings III is not only one of the highest rated strategy games of all time, but also one of the highest ranking games on the ratings platform. However, a number of players haven't been able to access this content as it has long been a PC exclusive.

Now console owners who are fans of strategy have to hide their dismay no more. Not only is Crusader Kings III making its way onto the latest generation of consoles, but subscribers to Xbox Game Pass will be able to try it out for free. As strategy can be a niche genre of games, this is a great way to try out one of the best examples without a large financial commitment.

This is the first time that the series will come to console and so is a landmark moment. As such, a lot of amendments have been made to the game. The UI and control scheme has been adjusted to suit a controller and to be visible on larger screens. There will also be radial menus to help with controllers' lack of buttons compared to keyboard.

Set in Europe during the Middle Ages, Crusader Kings III offers something a little different for fans of the genre. What sets it aside is how thoroughly researched the history is, especially for a time so far in the past. The historical accuracy is something Paradox is proud of.
