Hot off the back of a resounding month for Xbox, flush with the release of Forza Horizon 6, the platform has just spun the gaming community into a frenzy after dropping a new game to the Wishlist.

We’re being treated to a number of massive titles releasing this year, from colossal RPGs to revivals of classic adventure series.

But one specific game stands out above the rest, with wild anticipation having been left to brew for over 15 years.

Now, Xbox has dropped a huge update as it has added this gargantuan game to the wishlist and solidified its release date.

GTA 6 lands on Xbox wishlist

After multiple delays, we thought the day would never come, but GTA 6 is definitely launching on November 19, as Xbox confirmed its status on the Microsoft Store.

While the imagery remains 'locked' on the Microsoft Store, which undoubtedly reveals more juicy details about the characters and their troublesome arcs, the game is now available to put in your wishlist.

Xbox took to social media with a post of 'November 19th', cementing the pre-holiday release date that many thought would come too soon (again).

"Jason and Lucia always knew life wouldn't give them any breaks," reads the description, adding a bit more detail about the main characters.

"But when things go wrong, they discover the dark side of America's sunniest region and find themselves at the heart of a criminal conspiracy that spans the entire state of Leonida.

"More than ever, they'll have to rely on each other if they hope to make it out alive."

The news comes just days after a leaked email revealed the pre-order dates via the third gameplay trailer, showing just how close Rockstar is to pulling the trigger on its behemoth project.

So far, the Xbox release only shows one version of GTA 6, but that might not be the only rendition available.

Other recent leaks pointed towards GTA 6 having a coveted Collector's Edition, although a price range for that is yet to be discussed.

It would have to be quite a hefty fee, though, considering the base game itself is expected to fetch $100 a copy.

Still, the Xbox confirmation all but confirms that GTA 6 is arriving, so its time to start planning your hard drive purge.
