Acclaimed French actor Gaspard Ulliel, one of the stars of Marvel’s upcoming Moon Knight series, has died.
According to news agency AFP (via Deadline), Ulliel was taken to hospital via helicopter on Tuesday after suffering a head injury in a skiing collision on the slopes in the Savoie region. The actor's family and agent have now confirmed that the 37-year-old actor sadly did not make it.
An investigation into the exact nature of the accident is currently underway, local authorities have confirmed.
Ulliel has appeared in a number of critically acclaimed movies, working with celebrated filmmakers around the world. Standout projects include Hannibal Rising, Saint Laurent, A Very Long Engagement, and It's Only The End Of The World, for which he received a César Award for Best Actor.
Ulliel is set to star posthumously in the Disney Plus/Marvel series Moon Knight alongside Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke as the master thief Anton Mogart/Midnight Man.
Ulliel is survived by his 6 year-old son Orso and girlfriend Gaelle Petri.
