'Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 & 3' Remasters Reportedly Coming From Konami

'Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 & 3' Remasters Reportedly Coming From Konami

This is the same leaker who was bang on about Silent Hill and Resident Evil Village.

Apparently Metal Gear fans will be looking forward to remasters of Metal Gear Solid, 2, and 3 coming to both PC and consoles soon, according to this leaker who boasts an accurate track record.

Dusk Golem, also known as Aesthetic Gamer, took to Resetera to reveal that Konami is once again reviving the classic stealth games for new audiences. However, if this is the case, it will be one heck of a tune up for the first game in the series as the latest release was for the GameCube in 2004. It's literally old enough to drink if it was a person.

Check out this wonderfully faithful fan remake of the most iconic scenes of Metal Gear below!

Cast your minds to the year of 2021, and you'll recall that Dusk Golem was on the money about a number of things in Resident Evil Village, like the new fantastical enemies and the events of the start of the game including Mia's death. And, earlier in May, Dusk Golem supplied screenshots of a reboot of Silent Hill which were instantaneously hit with a copyright strike, insinuating that those were the real McCoy. While it is important to temper our expectations, these examples are at the least a feather in Dusk Golem's cap, and it's therefore possible that this scoop is verifiable.

"But the thing I've been a bit teasing of, and I know is 100% true, is Metal Gear Solid 1-3 are getting new Remasters, planned to come to everything, including Steam and consoles," explained the leaker on the thread. "The plan is new remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid 1-3, can buy them separately, but if [you] buy them together as a collection also get Metal Gear 1+2's MSX versions." We'll wait with baited breath to see if this collection steps out of the shadows.
