For those who are eager to join Commander Shepard in one more mission, you are in luck thanks to this upcoming release.

It has been over ten years since players stepped into Commander Shepard’s shoes in the Mass Effect trilogy.

Check out the trailer for Mass Effect 2 below!

As a result, it is no wonder that fans of the sci-fi RPG series have been calling out for more of the space adventurer.

Luckily for them, that is now possible thanks to Mass Effect: The Board Game.

Available to pre-order now, this upcoming board game inspired by the original trilogy allows players to join Shepard and their crew for one last mission to infiltrate a crashed Cerberus research cruiser.

Titled Priority: Hagalaz, the mission and board game itself is for 1-4 players with each player being able to take on the role of Shepard themselves or a variety of crew members including Liara, Tali, Wrex and Garrus.

“The year is 2186. On the remote world Hagalaz, a research cruiser from the terrorist organisation Cerberus has crashed directly in the path of a deadly storm,” the official synopsis reads.

“With little time before the storm hits, Shepard must lead their squad through the cruiser to uncover its sinister secrets and keep them out of the hands of the enemy.

However, the ship holds more dangers than just its former crew…”

With the board game now available to download on the official site, fans are getting hyped.

“Damn, the trailer was excellent. I’ll be looking to check this out when my local shop stocks it,” one potential player said over on r/masseffect.

Another said: “Oh my squee! Custom dice. Sign me up.

I watched the trailer. Both DudeShep and FemShep minis are included. That’s awesome.”

Mass Effect: The Board Game comes in at £40 and shipping will begin in October 2024 so don’t miss out if you are eager for more of the original sci-fi trilogy.
