A new teaser has fans losing their minds as the wait for Mass Effect 5 continues.
The last Mass Effect game came out eight years ago in 2017, and it’s pretty wild to think we haven’t really had much else since then.
Although we had the rather excellent Mass Effect Legendary Edition in 2021, we’re still probably years away from hearing about the next true sequel.

Given the lukewarm reception to Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Mass Effect: Andromeda, it’s likely BioWare wants to take extra care to ensure Mass Effect 5 cooks.
Now, a new Mass Effect teaser from EA has fans torn as they await the next installment.
EA has announced three new bundles for Battlefield 2042 which are based on Mass Effect. The Galactic, Scoped & Dropped, and Citadel bundles are available as of the latest patch.
Clearly not the sequel teaser we were all hoping for. EA confirmed Mass Effect 5 was in development in 2020, and has made a few teasers over the news.

Despite it being five years since then, nothing concrete has been announced yet.
“I wonder why? Could we be hearing more soon?” wrote a user on the Mass Effect Reddit page. “This seems like an odd time for this.”
“Hmm, actually kind of cool I won’t lie,” wrote another comment. “Still not enough to ever get me to touch 2042 though. Nothing will ever be enough, I will never play that game.
“Or they could patch Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer back into Legendary Edition,” wrote a third.

Yeah, I agree—Mass Effect 3 multiplayer was incredible. It's still pretty active though, if you fancy playing it again.
Hopefully Mass Effect fans won’t need to wait much longer for the next game to be properly revealed. At the very least, it’s still at the forefront of EA’s mind.
