I don’t know about you but I was shocked to discover that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 wasn’t included among this year’s ‘Most Anticipated Game’ nominees at The Game Awards. Personally, it’s probably the title I’m most looking forward to in 2023 and I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that. If you’re yet to try out the first game, it recently received an excellent PC port which GAMINGbible’s James called “a triumph of AAA video gaming.”

We know that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up. If rumours are to be believed, main missions will alternate between the two characters whilst players will be able to pick which Spidey to play as during side missions and free roam. It’s been over a year since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was formally revealed and tomorrow, we could finally receive the release update we’re all craving.

Take a look at the teaser trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 below.

As spotted by Reddit user Wet-Haired_Caribou, actor Tony Todd - who will portray Venom in the sequel - teased over on Twitter that “big creative news” would be “dropping tomorrow”. One fan then replied to Tony saying that they’d got their fingers crossed for a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer. The exciting part? Tony liked the tweet. The actor then went on to like a series of tweets from fellow fans asking if the news was Spider-Man 2 related.

Big creative news, dropping tomorrow. Stay Tuned!!!

We are certainly due an update. All we know is that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release in 2023 but as we draw closer to next year, it’s to be expected that Insomniac Games will announce a release date. With The Game Awards less than two weeks away, you’d expect a big reveal to happen then but hey, Tony is promising us something tomorrow.

Back in September, it was reported that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is “exceeding expectations” with one Marvel employee reportedly mistaking gameplay for a cutscene. At the time, insiders teased the imminent reveal of gameplay. Could that be what Todd is referring to? Only time will tell - and we don’t have long to wait.
