After much anticipation, Little Nightmares 3 was finally released last week but if you are yet to dive into the third part of the beloved series, here is a way you can grab it for free.
As the third instalment in the much loved puzzle-platform horror game, Little Nightmares III was finally released worldwide on 10 October, telling the story of best friends Low and Alone as they embark on a journey to escape from the Nowhere.
Allowing two friends to play together, or the chance to play solo but with an AI companion, Little Nightmares III is already a hit much like its predecessors and luckily, there is a way you can play it for free.
Shared in an official post by publisher Bandai Namco, Little Nightmares III can be played for free by taking advantage of two different features.

The first is courtesy of a free trial, which as you can guess, will allow you to try out the game with a friend at no extra cost.
“Whether you prefer to face The Spiral on your own or side by side with a friend, you can begin the journey at no cost,” the blog post reads.
“The Free Trial allows one or two players to explore for free the beginning of the first chapter in solo mode or online co-op - as long as both are on the same platform.”
However, there is also a way to access the full game for free.

Much like fellow co-op games It Takes Two and Split Fiction, Little Nightmares III has also implemented the Friend’s Pass feature.
This means that if one person purchases the full game, they will be able to invite a friend to play alongside without the latter having to buy the title themselves.
“This unique feature means that only one copy of the game is required for both players to complete the entire campaign together.
It’s easy to get started: To enjoy the full game with your friends, only one of you needs to own the game, while the other one needs to download the Free Trail & Friend’s Pass.”

As long as you are playing on the same platform, simply send your friend an invite to join your game and the Friend’s Pass will be activated.
Last but not least is a combination of both the Free Trial and the Friend’s Pass.
The pair of you will be able to try out the first 30-minutes of Little Nightmares III ahead of purchasing the game.
To do this, you will need to download both the Free Trial and Friend’s Pass and then send an invite to play together as normal.

Additionally, if you both decide you love the game and want to play more, any progress during your Free Trial will be carried over into the full game.
Both options are available to download right now so if you want to try out Little Nightmares III without splashing the cash, this is the perfect way to do so.
