Life is Strange: Reunion has officially been revealed, weirdly ahead of its planned reveal.
If that official tease is anything to go by from a few days ago, a trailer for the game should be landing in less than an hour's time but ahead of then, Xbox Wire has revealed all. Whether that's purposeful or accidental, I don't know.
Life is Strange: Reunion will, as we all suspected, bring Chloe back into the fold following her much-noticed absence in 2024's Life is Strange: Double Exposure. It looks as if Chloe and Max will serve as co-leads in the game which is very exciting indeed.
We don't have long to wait to get our hands on the sequel as a release date has also been confirmed. Mark 29 March on your calendars folks.

Xbox Wire's post reveals a fair bit about what we can expect with words by Life is Strange's brand manager Andrew James.
"This is a full circle moment for both developers and fans — one that builds on everything that has come before. And even as the game delivers a reunion long-thought impossible, it also caps off our time at Caledon University in a literal blaze of glory," he writes.

"But it’s still infused with all the emotional weight that Max — and we as players — have been carrying since that fateful moment by the Arcadia Bay lighthouse. We couldn’t dismiss the tragedy at the heart of Max and Chloe. Their reunion could be no quick fix.

"Max’s power allows her to undo everything… except the memory of her own actions. Of the way the world was before. Of everything she’s done — and everything she’s lost in the process."
Very intriguing. It sounds as if Max's abilities to both rewind and timeline hop will be closely tied into how Chloe is brought back into the fold. Don't forget that Chloe could die in Life is Strange.
If the player chooses to save her, she's revealed to have broken up with Max in Double Exposure, so I'm interested to see how both possibilities are dealt with.
"Chloe is no prize to be won. No passenger in Max’s life or decisions. Both women have been shaped by their experience of the time they spent apart. Chloe’s choices, too, will shape the fate of Caledon: for the first time, Max and Chloe are co-leads of a game," the post continues.

"Working their way back to one another, they offer alternating views of the world, bringing you inside their different-but-complementary perspectives as the story develops — true partners in time."
Max's Rewind Ability Returns
You read that correctly. Max's ability to rewind returns in this instalment which should add a fun, familiar feel to the gameplay, especially when combined with the timeline hopping mechanic.
Several of the previous game's characters will return too, including Safi, Moses, Amanda, and Vinh, as will Chloe's argument/persuasion mechanic by the looks of things.

I personally adored Double Exposure, so it was sad to see the game slated because of the heavily criticised lack of Chloe by many fans. I worried the teased sequel might never arrive for that very reason.
I'm glad that Deck Nine Games is set to get its flowers, having now revealed that that controversial move was all a part of a much larger plan with Double Exposure setting Reunion's as-yet unrevealed "fiery" mystery in motion.
