Whoa. Keanu Reeves, resident coolest and seemingly kindest man on the planet, is heading back out on tour with rock band Dogstar as they gear up to release their first album in 23 years.

It’s been a busy ol’ year for Reeves. John Wick 4 released back in March - and if you haven’t yet seen it, you really should. It’s undeniably the most visually impressive instalment in the franchise. The release of the film sadly coincided with the passing of star Lance Reddick who brought concierge Charon to life. Reddick, of course, was also known for roles in the Destiny and Horizon franchises. Developers at Guerrilla recently added an in-game tribute to Reddick in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. It awaits to be seen if Keanu Reeves will return for a potential John Wick 5. A story is in the works following on from the fourth film’s ambiguous ending. In the meantime though, it’s a return to music for the actor.

Take a look at Keanu in action as John Wick below.

Dogstar, the band that Keanu is a member of, first announced their comeback back in May. The band wrote, “Last set up on the roof in Lincoln Heights for Dogstar photo shoot. Exciting news coming soon. Thanks for being so patient.” The full band consists of Reeves, vocalist Bret Domrose, and drummer Rob Mailhouse. They’ve since confirmed that a new album is on the way, plus there’s going to be a tour.

You may have seen a few clips floating about of Reeves rocking it out this week, as the band played a one-off show at The Roxy in Hollywood. It’s a tease of what’s to come. The headline tour kicks off next month in North America, before the band then heads over to Japan. Tickets are on sale tomorrow, Friday 21 July. There are 25 tour dates in total, with the band's new album, Somewhere Between The Power Lines and Palm Trees, set to land on 6 October.

Lead single ‘Everything Turns Around’ is out now, and the band described the song as a ‘fun summer song’. Unfortunately, for those of you reading with us here in the UK, there are no UK dates at this moment in time. Hopefully that might change.
