Update: Keanu Reeve's returns to video games in a new John Wick game, announced at PlayStation's State of Play in February.
Developed by Saber Interactive in partnership with Lionsgate, John Wick seems to be a third-person action-adventure that's coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at some point.
Saber Interactive's Jesus Iglesias, game director on John Wick, took to the PlayStation Blog to unveil more.
"Everyone here at Saber is very excited because we can finally share our next big project with you. And ‘yeah’, it’s a John Wick AAA game! Stay tuned for the game’s official title and release date; we’ll reveal both in time as well as more details about the story and setting," he began, so this is a working title by the sounds of it.

But if you can't wait for an awesome gun-fu experience, we might just have the freebie to tide you over.
Gentleman’s Violence is a first-person shooter upcoming Steam PC game, developed by one developer, Powerful-Ad-677 on Reddit, and it’ll be playable on Steam later this year.
Suited up like Keanu Reeves players will fight through wave after wave of armed assailants, and while picking them off from afar will likely prove effective you’d be depriving yourself of some cinematic takedowns.
Directly inspired by John Wick, the player can flip enemies over the shoulder, push them into walls, throw guns at them, even twist their limbs before finishing them off with a bullet.
You’ll even get the famous bulletproof suit which can be used as a temporary shield to deflect damage.
Being a first-person game you’d expect gun-fu to be incredibly disorientating. I’ve been after a game that makes me feel like John Wick for years but I never envisioned it to be possible without a third-person camera. Games like Sifu or the SPINE do an admirable job.
Somehow though Gentlemen's Violence seemingly makes it work. We’d need to go hands-on to know for sure but from the gameplay footage the flashy takedowns work seamlessly with the first-person perspective.

It’s the product of almost two years of work according to Powerful-Ad-677, and while it’s not done yet, it’s making good progress.
“This is looking awesome! I'll make sure to wishlist once I get to my pc! Nicely done!” read one of the comments to Powerful-Ad-677’s post.
Another said “ I’d play that. Looks very sick man, keep up the good work.”
If you’re interested in trying the game for yourself I’ve got some good news for you. While you can already find the game on Steam now there’ll apparently be a playtest sometime later this year.
This’ll be a great way for players to provide feedback on the game prior to its full-release, so if you fancy giving it a go I’d recommend adding it to your Steam wishlist for further updates.
Never did I ever think a game would come anywhere close to the fluidity and flair of the combat seen in John Wick, but Gentleman’s Violence might just do it.
Again, we’ll need to go hands-on (HINT HINT PLEASE!!) to know for certain, but this is definitely one we’ll be keeping an eye on.
