Apparently Jennifer Lawrence and spicy hot wings don’t mix, as the star had to throw up shortly after filming a Hot Ones interview.

Jennifer Lawrence took part in the infamous Hot Ones 10 wing challenge, which sees celebrities consume increasingly spicy chicken wings whilst answering questions. The star joined the show to talk about her latest R-rated comedy No Hard Feelings, which was released in cinemas last week. The film follows her character Maddie, who’s about to lose her childhood home, but catches a break when she’s employed by a rich couple to date their socially awkward son.

Take a look at the trailer for No Hard Feelings below.

Fans are already calling it Jennifer Lawrence’s best role yet, with an impressive audience score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. One viewer described it as “Jennifer Lawrence’s comedic tour de force showcase. Harkening back to the kind of star-driven, raunchy comedies that we don’t get anymore — this is a crowd-pleasing, fun time at the movies.” Another added, "No Hard Feelings is every bit as raunchy and hysterical as you’re hoping for. Jennifer Lawrence commits and shows off her comedic chops in a way she never has before. Giving generally one of her best performances.”

Lawrence gave another comedic performance on Hot Ones, where she was reduced to tears from the intensity of the hot sauce. So far, the episode has been viewed over seven million times just five days after it aired on the platform, garnering just short of 300,000 likes.

Turns out the dreaded hot wings were too much for Lawrence to handle though, as she later confessed on Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen, that she was violently ill shortly after the interview concluded, prompting her to quickly run to her hotel room. Lawrence said, "I passionately threw up after. Violently … I made it upstairs to my suite. My holding suite. We shot at the Four Seasons downstairs [during the No Hard Feelings press junket]. My stomach gave me, like, eight minutes to get upstairs and then she… She…[vomited]."

She’s not the only celebrity to fall to the fiery power of the Hot Ones wings, as Idris Elba, Tom Holland and Millie Bobby Brown have all had similar reactions to the challenge. Seriously, those hot sauce bottles are no joke.
