Jedi: Fallen Order is currently free, and reigniting gamers' love for Star Wars

Gamers on Reddit say that Fallen Order has got them back into Star Wars, even after thinking that they were no longer interested in it.

One of this month’s free PS Plus games has been getting gamers back into Star Wars, and it’s not hard to see why.

For PS Plus subscribers, 2023 has been off to a pretty great start. Right at the beginning of the month, we got our first three Essential tier freebies - Axiom Verge 2, Fallout 76 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, all of which were pretty exciting picks (yes, even Fallout 76). If that wasn’t enough, 12 more titles are now available for Extra and Premium tier subscribers, including Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Life is Strange and Back 4 Blood.

Take a look at the trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor below.

Fallen Order is still the freebie that everyone’s talking about, though, and some players on Reddit now say that playing it for free has gotten them back into Star Wars (perfect timing when you consider that Jedi: Survivor releases in March).

“For many years now, I thought I had just gone off Star Wars; I loved it as a kid, but it now isn't for me. With this game, it's become more clear to me... I like Star Wars, I just don't like anything they've released for several years,” Srapture wrote. “The puzzles are fun, the story is good, it's [really] unique and full of character. If you have ever been into Star Wars, give this a go. It's dope.”

Many others are in the same boat: “Yep same. Makes me want to watch Star Wars again - the first six[,] mind,” replied BNR33. “I finished last week and it’s really good. Not usually into Star [Wars] games but I decided to give it a go and I loved it. Can’t wait for the next one,” added P1D3H_14.

If you’ve not already grabbed Fallen Order for free, there’s still time to do so. Be sure to claim it before the next batch of Essential tier freebies become available in early February.
