Hogwarts Legacy actor confirms two surprisingly violent ways your character can die

Hogwarts is one of the most dangerous schools in the world, after all.

Hogwarts Legacy launches in a little less than a month's time and thanks to a leak, we've gotten a good idea of what players will look forward to.

According to artwork, the map of the magical school's environments might be massive and apparently the game's main story clocks in at about 35 hours with completionists sinking in 70 hours to discover every single thing. Additionally, different houses in Hogwarts Legacy will lead to different ways to progress that main story and one of the houses will be visiting Azkaban as part of their educational experience. Or something.

The RPG also has a variety of endings depending on what the player decides to do, though we do know now that there are two sticky ends for the protagonist to fall foul of, thanks to actress Amelia Gething.

Take a tour of the common rooms of Hogwarts below, though they'll look very different to the ones you've seen in the films:

She's lending her voice to the playable protagonist - Hogwarts Legacy's character creator has no gender restrictions and so Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething are credited as "Voice 1" and "Voice 2." The actress promoted the game on her Instagram account and added that there are at least two ways to die in Hogwarts Legacy. The school was dangerous enough when Harry Potter was in attendance, so I have always wondered about the possible body count of any academic year. "Get yourself a copy if you’d like to hear me getting fried by a dragon or falling off a broom to my inevitable death!" she said.

Splendid. We've spotted the dragon in marketing material for the RPG, but if I had to guess, I would imagine that there are other creatures or magical users in the skies when you take to your broom who could pose a threat if you don't dodge their attacks.

Interestingly, Gething's announcement appears to have escaped criticism, unlike that of Croft's. As an outspoken LGBT activist, fans of the Heartstopper actor scolded his involvement in Hogwarts Legacy owing to author J. K. Rowling's anti-transgender opinions.
