In case you didn't know, Harry Potter author J.K Rowling has previously made hurtful comments towards the trans community, which can cause significant damage given the authors' large platform and influence.

While J.K Rowling didn't have a direct involvement towards the development of Hogwarts Legacy, given that it’s based on her IP, she stands to make a pretty penny from commission sales.

However, as reported by GGRecon, Kritiqal has put together a bundle of trans-friendly indie video games that help to raise money in support of LGBTQ+ creators. The bundle of indie joy is available for $60, roughly the same price as the Wizarding World action RPG from Avalanche Studios.

The description for the Trans Witches are Witches bundle reads: “A bundle of witchcraft and wizardry without the transphobia, antisemitism, and alt-right grifters. Reject Hogwarts Legacy's bigotry and support independent LGBTQ+ creators.”

What is included in the Trans Witches are Witches indie bundle?

69 magical works from LGBTQ+ creators

$60, or the price of one AAA wizard game

Proceeds split evenly between participants

No TERFs allowed

All in all, the Trans Witches are Witches bundle has an RRP value of $308 and at the time of writing, its campaign has reached over 50% of its target goal of $110,000/$192,000. The campaign ends in just under 11 days. So if you wanted to grab a bargain bundle and help a great cause, this indie bundle of joy is money well spent.

In related Hogwarts Legacy news, in support of the trans community, Parker Hartzler, who helped towards the development with motion capture has boycotted the very game he has helped create. “It is the least I can do as an ally,” tweeted Hartzler.

What’s more, despite featuring the first trans character in the Wizarding World, Hogwarts Legacy came under criticism over the name of the character in question.
