GTA 6 trailer teaser has fans on red alert

I know what you’re thinking. You hope this isn’t another piece of fake news designed to get you all excited for Grand Theft Auto 6 again but hear me out. We’re all desperate and if hints at an announcement trailer surface online, we’re going to check it out.

The ‘no news is good news’ rule doesn’t apply when it comes to the long-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, with fans waiting over ten years for Rockstar Games’ next instalment. This is no surprise considering the Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest video game franchises of all time and it has been a long time since we were running heists and mowing down virtual pedestrians.

With rumours swirling of a potential Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement date arriving sooner than we think, another potential clue has popped up on social media. The Twitter account belonging to Youtuber DaniRep has seemingly become home to a GTA 6 trailer countdown which would hint at the long-awaited announcement taking place on 21 October.

The Spanish Youtuber does not have any known ties to Rockstar but is seemingly well-known for their Grand Theft Auto content so perhaps they have some insider knowledge that we don’t know about. Or perhaps it is just a lucky guess (we hope it’s lucky anyway).

After recent leaks and developer updates, GTA fans aren't sure what to believe which makes any new rumours all the more frustrating. However, it speaks for the love of the franchise that the hype is still strong after a ten-year hiatus. Let us just hope Grand Theft Auto 6 can live up to the enormous amount of hype.

In related news, the official Australian Age Rating Board seemingly announced GTA 6’s age rating and it is not what fans were expecting. Could this mean an end to the violent and chaotic series we all know and love? Let’s hope not.
